The College Squash community is stunned by the unexpected and sudden passing of John Illig, head coach for Middlebury College. John had a long history in Maine squash including head coach at both Colby and Bates Colleges. He has touched many of our local players and will be dearly missed. John was the consummate ambassador for squash and would always encourage others to play and love it. He personally welcomed me to the Bates College Squash center years ago and introduced me to the college game.
