At this time it is NOT possible to use ClubLocker to report scores. Sorry. Maybe next year.
Please confirm what divisions you are playing in by looking for your name in the list of tournament entrants: Tournament Listing
You are expected to play your matches as promptly as possible.
You are expected to make yourself available to play your match. As responsible squash players please work this out among yourselves. As tournament directors we simply do not have the time to schedule or police the details of match scheduling. If the two players can’t work things out both will be recorded as defaulting and the next opponent will receive a BYE.
The schedule timeline is printed on each match of each round of the draw. That date shows the earliest date for schedule play of that round. You can mutually agree to play earlier but once the next round starts unreported scores from the previous round will be entered as double defaults.
If you become injured or your schedule makes it impossible to play within the timeline window please email your opponent, cc Greg and Barrett, and default/forfeit your match. You will effectively withdraw from that division. This is considered the honorable and polite way to handle an overloaded schedule. Don’t be “that guy” or “that gal” that fails to schedule your match and causes both players to be defaulted.
When you play your matches you will self referee and self report your scores. The tournament is largely run on the honor system. The goal is to play more squash and to have more fun!
The Maine State Squash Championship is hosted by mainesquash.com and pcsquash.com for the enjoyment of all squash players in Maine and to encourage participation in the sport of squash.
You should avoid playing below your US Squash rating – if you are a 3.6, do not play in the 3.5, play in the 4.5
All matches except finals are self-scheduled and played at mutually agreed upon times and venues (players are responsible for paying any membership or day use charges for playing matches)
Finals will be played Thursday, April 28th, at the Bates College Squash Center 6PM – 9PM. The finals events will be combined with our end of year Celebration of Squash.
You will receive an email with your opponent and contact information at the beginning of each round
Single Elimination
All players will need to sign a release prior to participation. Minors will need parental permission and a signed release prior to participation.
Tournament Committee may make changes to tournament divisions, consolidate divisions and move players around within and between divisions.
Tournament director’s decisions are final.
