Portland YMCA to switch Online Court Reservation systems

After several months of work and testing the Portland branch of the YMCA of Southern Maine is ready to move from holdmycourt.com to clublocker.com for court reservation management. There are numerous reasons for this change and all parties are eager to make the transition.

  • ClubLocker.com reservations are tightly integrated with existing Box League and Winter League software tools from US Squash. This means that users participating in YMCA squash leagues will have a much smoother interface for booking court reservations.
  • ClubLocker.com mobile interface is modern and has been optimized for mobile devices
  • US Squash login credentials will work for ClubLocker. Users will no longer need a separate set of credentials for court reservations
  • YMCA staff will have much greater flexibility for administering club events and managing court time. Historical usage reporting will finally be possible!
  • Players will be able to indicate their partner OR that they are looking for a partner to play with
  • Please check out the reservation system in trial mode at http://clublocker.com

Conversion date is set for October 26th, 2015. This means that www.holdmycourt.com will handle reservations for October 25th, 2015 and www.clublocker.com will handle all reservations from October 26th, 2015 and forward.

PCS Bayside Bowl project update

PCS_Logo

Portland Community Squash (PCS) has been working with Justin Alfond and Bayside Bowl’s expansion project for some time. As with any project of this scope there is always the potential that things won’t work out exactly as the parties envisioned. PCS has announced that the Bayside Bowl expansion is not going to be the future home of the PCS squash facility.

Barrett Takesian, President of PCS, has prepared a project update that describes the decision in greater detail and has stated that PCS’s goal continues to be to take advantage of the 2016 construction season so as to have the new squash facility built by the fall of 2016.
