Yes, it is that time of year again! The fantastic Winter League is returning to the Portland YMCA again this winter. The action is exciting, friendships abound and there is plenty of teamwork and camaraderie in the Monday night Winter League! See the links on the left of the main page for more information.
The Bobcat Classic scheduled for the 24th and 25th of October has been cancelled. Word from Pat Cosquer, Bates College head squash coach, is that the facilities renovations will not be finished in time for the tournament and the tournament committee feels it would significantly impact the quality of the event for participants and spectators. Plans are to reschedule the Bobcat Classic for the spring.
The annual Del Fuller Maine Squash Open tournament at Bowdoin is available for entry
This month (October) the Box League is quite challenging! September had 42 players and as is typical we’ll lose a few. What is not typical is the HUGE number of players returning. This month there are 22 players new (or returning) to the league. Boxes will change radically… 1 and 2 are pretty solid but from 3 down there will be lots of changes. Those 4 boxes will morph into 7 boxes. Fun, fun, fun!!! Since the box league will probably not be posted Wednesday it might be a good time to review the FAQ located here.
