We are always overly proud of the achievements of our local club players! This past weekend found both Paige Buchanan and Isabel Agnew competing in the CSA Women’s Team Tournament. Isabel is playing for Haverford College and Paige is playing for St. Lawrence University. Hopefully they will go easy on us when they return to play!!!
One of our local players has contributed to her team’s success at the recent CSA Squash Team Championships. Isabel Agnew plays for Haverford College and spent most of the season playing at the number 5 position. They won the “E” division. Isabel, in the center, is surrounded by a couple of her teammates. Well done!!
The College Squash season men’s Team Tournament starts Friday, February 14th and Harvard’s Murr Center in Cambridge, Mass. There is bound to be plenty of excellent squash. Bates, Bowdoin and Colby will all be playing. Web Streaming (Potter Cup Final Only)
This tournament will feature many fine squash players and the competition will certainly be fierce with 48 players competing in both A and B draws in both the men’s and women’s brackets. On February 22nd, 2014 Bowdoin College is hosting the Maine Mix & Match for area squash programs. The event at the Lubin Squash Center will consist of three junior squash programs playing a giant round robin.
Each location is bringing 28 players each. The event runs at the Bowdoin Courts from 11 AM – 5 PM. Reporters and photographers will be on hand to document Maine’s first junior squash team competition. Please join us to celebrate this first ever inaugural event! |
